Hi, ich bin Thomas. In dies Studentenhaus zu ziehen, war das Beste, was ich machen konnte. Das Haus liegt nahe zum Strand und nicht weit von der Innenstadt. Zwar habe ich nur 2 Monate hier gelebt, aber in der Zeit so viele nette Leute aus der ganzen Welt kennen gelernt. Das war einfach genial. Wie eine große Familie weit weg von zuhause. Und mein neues zuhause in Australien. Ihr werdet es lieben! Cheers

To move into this Australiawide Student Accommodation was the best thing I could do. The location is close to the beach and close to the city. I lived just 2 month here, but met so many great people from all over the world. That was amazing.
Like a big family far away from home. And my new home in Australia.

For my internship in Melbourne I looked for both flats and student accomodations. But I didn't want to rent a flat before having seen it and also didn't want to stay in a hostel for the first days because of safety. So I decided to stay at Australiawide.
There are up to about 20 people in the house, most of the time an interesting international and intercultural mixture. It is easy to make friends especially if you are new to the city, but you still can get some privacy in your own room. For me it combines both advantages. But the special thing about it is the friendly and familiar atmosphere which tries to and succeeds to create, for example by house dinners or going to one of his swim competitions in summer.
The location in Elsternwick is also very good, it is a nice suburb of Melbourne, shops and train station are nearby and it's only about 20 minutes to the city or the beach. Having lived in the house for six months I can say that for me it was the right decision to stay there.
